Not surprisingly, questions about Glucosamine dosage amounts are asked almost daily. Few Glucosamine supplement manufacturers use the same amount of ingredients. Two supplements may contain the same amount of Glucosamine but will have varying amounts of other ingredients. Because our animals metabolize some vitamins and minerals differently than humans, it is very important to find a Glucosamine supplement that safe for your pet and provides appropriate dosage guidelines. Never use the suggested dosage amount of one product when using another.  

All of our liquid Glucosamine products, besides the Synflex® 1500 formula are perfectly safe for your dog, cat, horse, or other pet. Synflex® 1500 contains White Willow Bark which contains salicin. Salicin is safe for humans that are not allergic to aspirin and aids in reducing inflammation, but may cause adverse reactions in pets.

If your pet is suffering from moderate to severe arthritis, you may want to double the dosage for the first ten days. This is perfectly safe, but we do not recommend continuing the double-dose after the first 2 weeks.
